The card which can be used

You can use a card with either the VISA, PLUS, Mastercard, Maestro, Cirrus, American Express, JCB, China Unionpay and DISCOVER logo at JAPAN POST Bank ATM.

These include cash cards, debit cards, credit cards, and prepaid cards issued by foreign financial institutions.

ATM usage fee

Some overseas issued cards may incur a fee of 220 yen per transaction.

In addition to the above-mentioned fees, there may be fees charged by the card issuing financial institution.

How to operate an ATM

Please follow the steps below to withdraw cash:

①Press “English Guide” button on the screen.

②Insert your card into the ATM card slot.

③Select “Withdrawal” from the menu.

④Press “CARDS ISSUED OVERSEAS” button on the screen.

⑤Enter your PIN and press “OK”.

⑥Enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw and press “YEN”.
The maximum amount of cash you can withdraw per transaction is 50,000 yen.

⑦Select transaction currency

⑧Confirm the amount and the fee on the screen.

⑨Take your cash and receipt from the ATM and remove your card.
